The creator shield buy
A way for a token's creator to stop the sell-and-reset trick, using only the curve's own rules. We tested it on the SimpleDEX testnet at 1/1000 scale.
The problem
- A SimpleDEX token graduates when its curve holds 50,000 XPR of real buys, followed by a 300-second countdown.
- If sells drop it back under 50,000, the countdown starts again. We measured that ourselves.
- So anyone holding enough of the token can sell into every crossing and keep resetting it.
- There is no per-token anti-bot setting. The one lever each launch has is the creator's own 60-second window, when only the creator can buy.
What we did
Token 16 (SHLDA) on the SimpleDEX testnet launcher, 2 October 2026. Graduation line on the testnet: 50 XPR.
- The creator bought 55 XPR at 4.5 seconds, inside its own 60-second window. The curve held 54.45 XPR and the graduation countdown started at once. A crossing inside the creator window does start it.
- At 60 seconds a test "bot" wallet bought 20 XPR (curve: 74.25), then sold all of it 3.7 seconds later.
- The curve fell back to 54.4501. It never went under the line, so the countdown was not reset. The bot lost about 0.40 XPR in two 1% fees.
- The token graduated after the 300-second countdown, into pool 18.
What it means at full size
Scaled to mainnet's line of 50,000 XPR: a creator holding about 50,506 XPR or more of curve buys, held in public, makes the reset trick impossible by the curve's own maths.
That is measured at 1/1000 scale only. It has not been done on mainnet.
Who could do it
The creator, or a community pool the creator buys with. Any money held for that belongs with the community, KSTO or an audited contract, never with Guard.IAN. Guard.IAN does not hold anyone else's money.
This is the community's to build. We share what we measured.
