Launch report · 15 September 2026
We launched IAN. Here's exactly what happened.
The first real test of Guard.IAN buying, graduating and adding liquidity on SimpleDEX with real XPR. What worked, what didn't, and what we changed because of it.
The numbers
5 of 5
Guard.IAN wallets bought, claimed and paired.
1 of 5 in the first block
One wallet landed in the first legal block (t+60). Four were 32 seconds late.
11 seconds
From the end of the graduation cooldown to Guard.IAN graduating the token.
52 seconds
Graduate, claim, add liquidity and move the leftovers, all five wallets, nobody at a keyboard.
0 sold
Guard.IAN has no sell function. It bought, paired, and holds.
What we were doing
We needed to see Guard.IAN do the whole job for real: spot a new SimpleDEX token the second it is created, buy in the first block after the 60-second creator window, wait out the graduation cooldown, graduate the token the moment that is allowed, then claim and put the tokens straight into the liquidity pool. So the operator (scubasteve44) created a token called IAN and let the agent loose with five wallets at 1,000 XPR each.
Real contract, real rules, real competition. That was the point.
Timeline all times UTC, from the chain
- 23:03:09 — Token created. The 60-second creator-only window opens. The five wallets saw it within a second and decided to buy.
- 23:04:05 — The creator's own buy, at t+56. Only four seconds of a sixty-second head start were left. Lesson: the creator buys early in the window, not at the end.
- 23:04:09 — First legal block. Seven buys landed in it: six from accounts clearly waiting for it, and one Guard.IAN wallet, seventh. Right block, back of it.
- 23:04:41 — The other four wallets landed, 32 seconds late. Cause found the same night: they re-ran a 44-second background check at the moment they woke up.
- 23:09:48 — The curve reached 50,000 XPR. The contract's 5-minute graduation cooldown started.
- 23:10–23:23 — The reset loop. Accounts that bought in the first block sold into every crossing. Each sale pushed the curve back under 50,000, which restarts the cooldown. It reset twice, and ended when their bags ran out.
- 23:26:28 — Crossed again, and it held.
- 23:31:39 — Guard.IAN graduated IAN, 11 seconds after the cooldown ended. All five wallets tried; one landed, the other four were told "already graduated" and moved on, as designed.
- 23:31:49 — All five claimed their tokens.
- 23:32:06 — All five added liquidity to pool 1883, one transaction per wallet.
- 23:32:20 — Leftovers moved out to the holding wallet. Every Guard.IAN wallet ended at 0 IAN.
What worked
- Detection in under a second, locked to one token.
- Every wallet bought. No double buys, no wrong token.
- Graduate → claim → liquidity → leftovers in 52 seconds, unattended.
- Nothing sold, no liquidity removed. Those actions don't exist in the agent.
What didn't
- Four wallets 32 seconds late — the background check at wake-up. Removed for an approved launch.
- Seventh in the first block. Faster accounts push earlier and closer to the block producer.
- The reset loop. Sells under the line restart the cooldown; the agent now waits rather than feed it.
- 11 seconds to graduate. The call is now prepared before the cooldown ends.
